I have always been a creative type of person working the right side of my brain, whether it was sketching, drawing portraits or making music. The photo bug, interestingly enough, caught up to me later in my years. What I have discovered with photography is that there’s something magical that happens when you take something technical & scientific like the production of a photograph and pair the right side thinking to the process. The feeling and satisfaction I get from that is nothing short of awesome. There’s also the warm and fuzzy feeling I get when I see or hear the reaction of a happy client. That is what I strive for.
I can shoot in a variety of styles, from capturing special moments and telling a story to using on and off camera lighting with modifiers to achieve certain looks and effects.
I am brand agnostic, but for those who care, I use Canon camera bodies, currently using the full frame 5D Mark II. I prefer the use of fixed focal length, prime lenses for the majority of my work. The Zeiss Distagon T* 1,4/35 is my favorite story telling lens while the Canon 24mm 3.5L TS-E II is my favorite for architecture and environments.
